 More now that ever the healthcare industry needs nursing assistants in all areas of employment.  Be Strong Learning Center offers 2 week CNA classes for people interested in jobs in nursing homes, hospitals, in-home care, assisted living communities and group homes.  Many students enrolled in nursing school will take the STNA class to learn the basic personal care skills prior to starting their nursing program. 

Be Strong Learning Center offers the course in 80 hours.  Typically 5 days per week for 2 weeks.  There are 16 hours of clinical experience included in the 80 hours that are done at a local nursing home.  The coursework includes instruction on how to assist patients with bathing, dressing, walking and other various skills needed to care of people with illness or impairments.  The course also includes basic medical terminology, anatomy of the body,  patient safety and the use of equipment.  This program is overseen by the Ohio Department of Health and prepares you to take your certification exam that is administered through D & S Diversified Technologies, LLP.  This is a requirement in Ohio for long term employment as a nursing assistant.

In order to sign up for the course you will need to make an appointment to meet with the Be Strong team and bring with you a valid Ohio Drivers License or State issued ID card along with your original social security card.  These items must be presented on your test day as well.  During this appointment we will establish your payment plan - whether it be you or a facility guarantor.  We will also review the policies for the program itself.  You will be required to submit a $90 non-refundable deposit at this time.  It will  be applied to your tuition cost. Total tuition cost is $690, includes all course materials and testing fees.
